Marilyn Chambers...An Icon of the Bizz...

As most of you are aware by now, Marilyn Chambers passed left us this past week and moved on to another life. Along with Linda Lovelace, Marilyn Chambers was one of the first true female icons of the porn industry. Deep Throat and Behind the Green Door were the two adult movies that changed how America watched porn and now both of them have left us and moved on.

Even though I lived and hung out on Polk St. in San Francisco in the mid 70's, right around the corner from the 'O'Farrell Theater'...the 'Mitchell Bros. porn palace where she worked, and even worked with the great Johnny Keyes right after he did 'Behind the Green Door'' with her, I never got the chance to meet Marilyn Chambers. What a shame as I followed her career from Day one. She will be sorely missed by all those who understand the roots of modern day porn and the sacrifice those of us in the beginning had to make.

The Porn Industry is a very interesting animal these days...those of you who have followed it from the prehistoric times ...my personal knowledge only goes back to the mid '60's when I 'stumbled'...lol...(I was actively searching), across my grandfathers nudie camp mags..and of course I have seen videos and pics from every era possible right back to the early Egyptians, Romans, and Zulu sex drawings (before the white woman came), along with the classic porn drawings from Japan and India that everyone has seen...

America seems to be the Mecca for wanna bee porn stars...one has to understand something here as we need to define what constitutes a 'Porn Star'...I am a Porn Star...but if you have work out there and a fan or two who loves your work...who am I to tell you that you are not a 'porn star'..

Anyway, girl and guys from all country's flock here to the USA to ply their trade and try to make it in the Biz...a biz that for some reason, everyone thinks is easy to get into and a cake walk...lol...
